"There you go." 是老美希望結束一段對話時，很自然會脫口而出的一句話，特別是在完成某項交易的時候。像是你去買一樣東西，當你付完錢之後店員會說，"There you go." 或 "That's it." 就表示交易已經完成，你可以滾了。 另外像是電臺的點歌節目 DJ 在播放音樂之前都會說，"There you go." 表示你要的音樂我找到了，現在要開始播放你所點的歌曲了。
有時候你提醒別人講話別講太久也是用 "There you go." 例如有一次班上同學交報告給教授，結果教授還跟他講東講西的，那老美也不客氣，就說，"Well, I just came by to give you my report, so, there you go!" 這時教授就知道他不想再講下去了，如果再講下去自己就太不識相了。
"There you go." 也常常用來鼓勵別人有好的表現，例如你的小寶寶開始會說話了，(先假設他聽得懂英文好了) 你就可以說，"There you go." 來鼓勵他，或是常在球場上聽到教練對表現不錯的球員大叫，"There you go."

為什麼當老美說，"You bet." 的時候，就代表你說的一點也沒錯的意思呢？因為 bet 是下賭注的意思，所以 "You bet." 就是指，"You can bet money on that." (你可以把錢下注在上面)，言下之意，就是說這件事百分之百正確。例如別人問你，"Is this is the way to High Tower Museum?" (這是往 High Tower 博物館的路嗎？) 你就可以回答說，"You bet." (一點也沒錯)
有時候為了加強語氣，連小屁屁 (ass) 都可以拿來當賭注喔！用來表示這件事是百分之兩百地正確。例如電視影集 "Friends" 裏面，Monica 有一次就說了一句讓我至今都印象深刻的話，"You bet your ass I'm going to fire you." (你完完全全正確，我非把你開除不可。) 當然如果不是在跟人家吵架時我們最好還是不要拿小屁屁來當賭注吧！

溝通不要硬梆梆的，別人問你意見，就算不同意，也不必直接說No，下次有人所提出的看法，你自己不能苟同，就可以用上這句話I wouldn't look at it like that.「我不會用這個角度看事情。」以表示自己對於同一件事，持有不同的意見。
